The Factions of Eyes Up
In Eyes Up, there are several different factions spanning the planets. It's possible to play a character from any one faction, though some are harder to obtain entrance to than others. An example of the differences would be New Monarchy and The Cult of Osiris. A Red Jack member must be chosen by Shaxx himself, but a New Monarchy member can simply pledge their allegiance to support the faction.
Future War Cult
"There is no future but now. No truth but war."
Members of the Cult are known for their military prowess as well as their secrecy. They believe that war with the Darkness is inevitable, whether they stay on Earth or attempt to flee, and therefore they must be ready to fight. They are also deeply concerned with fate, and whether or not it is possible to alter history altogether.
The onset of the Red War was actually predicted by the FWC but no one believed their warnings, some even laughed at them and even called Lakshmi-2 a zealot. Despite this, the FWC was prepared when the Red Legion arrived and invaded, fighting the Cabal back. The Cult is led by a group called the Inner Circle.

New Monarchy
"Hope will be born from the collective triumphs of the king in us all."
Leery of the fragile state of the City's politics, the New Monarchy maintains a watchful eye on the Speaker, the Consensus, and the Vanguard, seeking the leadership that will properly reign over the City and return civilization to its Golden Age splendor. To New Monarchy, if that leadership cannot be found, then it must be created. Members of New Monarchy are known for their ambition, drive and executive legal powers, New Monarchy arms and supplies the City's Guardians who are willing to fight to reclaim the solar system. Leaders of the faction are called Executors.

Dead Orbit
"The Traveler is not our only salvation. Another future lies out among the light of other stars."
Members of Dead Orbit intend to escape an already dying Earth before the Darkness's return, as they've given up on the Traveler and put little faith in the City's ability to hold out against a major attack. While they recognize that such a move could be very costly in terms of lives, they see no other alternative for survival, and instead put their faith in finding enough Golden Age technology in vaults and abandoned shipyards to allow them to escape and find a new homeworld. They are even willing to cross New Monarchy's legal authority to achieve this end, but they also recognize they will need to bring Guardians to their cause in order to fight against any future threats. The leaders of Dead Orbit are called Arachs.Arach: open
The Cult of Osiris
"If you think you're ready, then you're ready."
The Cult of Osiris is a religious group formed by the Disciples of the exiled Warlock Osiris. They follow the teachings of Osiris in their obsession to understand the nature of Light and Darkness. They maintain a camp at the Lighthouse on Mercury. Some of their writings include the Parables of the Allspring and the Fractal Scrolls. The Cult also seeks to recruit Guardians through the Trials of Osiris, a Crucible tournament. They view the Speaker poorly, some going so far as to call him a charlatan.
